Diana is a first year Ph.D. candidate in the department of anthropology at Southern Methodist University studying Maya archaeology.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in anthropology from Harvard University and a Master of Science degree from the University of Oxford in material anthropology and museum ethnography.
Diana's research interests are focused primarily on the ways in which animals are intertwined in human life and how this is manifested in the iconographic and archaeological record. She is additionally interested in museum practice and history and reactions to disease in the ancient world.
